The Tubul Family

Yaakov and Esther Tubul (of blessed memory) were married in Morocco. The couple had eleven children, nine of whom immigrated to Israel: Maurice (of blessed memory), Nissim (of blessed memory), David, Yehuda, Miriam, Aliza, Shoshana, Yosef, and Eli (the youngest of the siblings). The family immigrated to Israel in 1948 after a two-week stay in Marseille. After that, they arrived at the transit camp in Pardes Hana and from there moved to Givat Shaul. In 1949, they moved to live at 1 Elisha Street in Musrara. Yaakov Tubul was a shoemaker and one of the first oil vendors in the neighborhood.
