Eliyahu and Rachel were born in Morocco Their daughters were born there: Aliza (of blessed memory), Lilian, and Hannah. They immigrated to Israel in 1955 The family lived on HaMishmarot Street in the Musrara neighborhood Eliyahu worked as a mason and later opened a grocery store near Safra Square.
A few years later, the store moved to HaMishmarot Street, across from their home.

Rachel worked as a homemaker.
