David and Farha Liani married in the port city of Oran, Algeria There, their children were born: Yechiel, Shirley, Roger, Nicole, Celine, Jocelyne, and Yehudit. They immigrated to Israel in 1961 via Marseille and Naples.

The Liani family received a house in Givat HaMoreh but left it after 7 hours to join their family in Musrara They lived in their grandmother’s house on Rehov Hahoma HaShlishit (Third Wall Street) and later on HaMishmarot Street. In Israel, Danny, Yardena, and Sharon were born David worked as a shoemaker, and Farha was a homemaker.
